SUNDAY MORNING VIDEO and and new INSIGHTS following SATURDAY'S and FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEOS: "Of course, everything looks simple and obvious in retrospect."

Today is SUNDAY!! FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEOS followed by SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS was a famous ritual to all of us who grew up in the 70s and 80s.

This became a series of 3 videos starting 1) Friday night, 2) Saturday morning, and 3) Sunday morning—see the final SUNDAY MORNING installment above, which is Video #3 and probably the final video in this spontaneous series

Additional notes:

  • “Pipe and cigar smokers who have never smoked cigarettes do not inhale, which probably accounts for their reduced incidence of coronary heart disease and lung cancer. But they also appear not to absorb nicotine, which suggests that nicotine is absorbed largely from the lung and that the buccal mucosa is unimportant. It also raises the interesting question of why primary pipe and cigar smokers do smoke.” Turner JA, Sillett RW, McNicol MW. Effect of cigar smoking on carboxyhaemoglobin and plasma nicotine concentrations in primary pipe and cigar smokers and ex-cigarette smokers. Br Med J. 1977 Nov 26;2(6099):1387-9

  • The American “capitalist” system that everyone is indoctrinated to worship in the church of the never-existing “free market capitalism guided by the hand of God” is a system designed to keep Americans poor even if the elite and industries of the nation are making ever-increasing profits.

  • When people are poor, they are easier to control because they have less flexibility in every aspect of their lives plus they have to expend more intellectual bandwidth in stress and decision-making and budgeting every decision and every purchase.

  • “The average debt an American owes is $105,056 across mortgage loans, home equity lines of credit, auto loans, credit card debt, student loan debt, and other debts like personal loans. businessinsider.com/personal-finance/credit-score/average-american-debt

  • The average American has $90,460 in debt. cnbc.com/select/average-american-debt-by-age/

This became a series of 3 videos starting 1) Friday night, 2) Saturday morning, and 3) Sunday morning—see the final SUNDAY MORNING installment above

VIDEO #2: SATURDAY MORNING

SATURDAY MORNING VIDEOS and INSIGHTS following yesterday's FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEO: "Of course, everything looks simple and obvious in retrospect."

SATURDAY MORNING VIDEOS and INSIGHTS following yesterday's FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEO: "Of course, everything looks simple and obvious in retrospect."

Last night I posted “FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEO” which was spontaneous and multitopic but sufficiently cohesive to have social and financial value. This morning, I posted the follow-up Saturday Morning Cartoons (and Insights) —above— which includes what I learned overnight to bring conclusion to this transaction. Of course, everything looks simple and obvious in retrospect.

Here is a new infographic added to today’s Saturday video—note that this article will be reviewed and posted in a separate article, probably posted over this same weekend; you can easily find it in the index: https://healthythinking.substack.com/archive

Here is the infographic from the FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEO:

Health Homework (55) Exercise your ability to do exactly what you want to do

A day once dawned, and it was beautiful
A day once dawned from the ground

Then the night she fell
And the air was beautiful
The night she fell all around

So look, see the sights
The endless summer nights
And go play the game that you like
From the morning

Of course, you already know that I appreciate art and architecture. Good art and architecture – including better music I suppose – gives me some hope that humanity isn’t completely lost…or if it is lost, it can be recovered.
