Gibraltar paradox = more injections » more infections: when 140% didn't do the job
To any logical person, implementing more of the same strategy that has already failed when implemented at 140% would seem worthless and stupid.
Here, I provide a minor update/confirmation to my previous mention of the “Gibraltar paradox”—the most vaccinated place in the world supposedly has more Cv19 infections than it can manage. On December 15 of 2021, James Brennan, Irish News reporter states:
“Gibraltar, arguably the most vaccinated country in the world with a 100% vaccination rate, has announced that a 70-yr-old man died at the weekend from covid. He was double jabbed. The country has effectively cancelled its Christmas events due to covid and may even introduce some restrictions because of the Omnicron variant. All this in a country with a 100% vaccination rate.” [December 15, 2021, James Brennan, Irish News, cited below]
Likewise, UK’s Evening Standard reported on November 18 of 2021:
Christmas cancelled in Gibraltar - the ‘most vaccinated’ place in the world: Gibraltar has seen cases increase with 66 new daily infections reported on average - equivalent to 52% of its peak in January. The Rock has administered at least 94,469 vaccine doses so far which is enough to have fully vaccinated 140.2% of the country’s population. “Given the exponential rise in the number of cases, the Government for example intends to cancel a number of its own functions including official Christmas parties, official receptions and similar gatherings,” its Government said in a statement. [Laura Sharman, 18 November 2021, Evening Standard, cited below]
True to his tired and unkempt form, “Boris Johnson urged eligible Britons to get their booster jab to help avoid Covid restrictions being implemented before Christmas.” To any logical person, implementing more of the same strategy that has already failed when implemented at 140% would seem worthless and stupid. Today’s politicians implement the same failed strategy over and over again as if they had some other motive behind this tired hazardous for-profit strategy.
