Music (1) Visualization; Structures of Sound
For fun I've provided a few videos that explore the “visualization of musical structure”
I’ve discussed (28Jun2022) and diagrammed (below) my perception of the interconnections of music, mathematics, logic, biology, and language.
For fun and to further demonstrate these interconnections, here I provide a few videos that explore the “visualization of musical structure”—my favorite video on this topic was a tutorial by a symphony conductor… but alas… I cannot relocate the video in this moment. This is why I subtitled this current post as (1) because I hope to provide the other video (which will be part2) when and if I find it.
Geometry of Music
Geeky but interesting for 40 seconds
Simple slow visualization of Clair de Lune
I have occasionally considered the guitar rendition of this song to be the theme song of my life…at least until Strunz and Farah’s Anochecer (Nightfall) and Southern Seas (both below)
Excellent visualization of Mozart, Symphony 40 in G minor
The longer you watch this, the greater will be your appreciation of the complex structure of this music—ie and eg, the overlapping events, harmonies, etc.
Here are two of my favorite songs, for which I wish I had a good visualization
Strunz and Farah’s Anochecer (Nightfall)
Strunz and Farah’s Southern Seas
Beautiful witty Irish-Colombian song [VIDEO] about respecting food, its origins and caretakers
Music links from my previous post (see links below for music samples)
If you’ve read the introduction to my books, then you already know that I’ve loved the music of Strunz and Farah for many years, and in some of my videos (see the Microbiome and Dysbiosis series) I actually paid to license a few seconds of their music to include in the videos. Their website is http://www.strunzandfarah.com/
My fave songs of all-time are their
Azure
Southern Seas
Anochecer
Twilight at the Zuq
