Hi again, I’ve lived overseas, so I’m amenable to getting international medicines. I found on ebay a sudsing 7.5 cleanser (for vet use, but hey I’ll try it) a shampoo and a creme..... better prices than US.

When we lived in Europe/Spain, I noticed that various povidone iodone solutions are more commonly used than they are here in the US. Antimicrobial effectiveness is high, and safety is high but not perfect so be sure to see whatever their instructions are.

Question: I have had an itchy outbreak across my shoulders and neck for years. The only time it abated was while I lived in Paris for 3 years. I figured something in the water hardness/mineral composition helped it clear up. Just today my dermatologist felt it is a problem with my nerves (I have fibromyalgia) and she suggested Gabapentin. I’m hesitant to take antidepressants again, they didn’t work for me and Gabapentin had the worst withdrawal symptoms I ever experienced. Do you advise patients remotely? How much do you charge?

I hope your dermatologist is brilliant and effective in other ways, but his/her knowledge of fibromyalgia appears very limited and attributing this problem to "nerves" does not occur to me as a top choice among available options.

Oh, and my 90 year old mother has now got what appears to be the same thing.... maybe a bug got passed to her via the mixing of clothes in the laundry... altho it has gotten worse lately after living together the last 5 years.

Could be bacteria, yeast, or as you said the water. When we lived full-time in Tarragona Spain, we had some type of allergy/irritation from the city tap water. Also consider pets and laundry soap, etc, ... cleaners....
