We’ve got rapists, murderers, thieves, and known pedophiles free in the streets; we aren’t tracking them but we are using technology to track the free and innocent 99% of the population.
I’m not accepting that this is for any beneficial or necessary reason. We have plenty of social needs that are more important than using technology for opening trash bins and tracking people’s habits, movements, …receipts.

This is another manifestation of blatant techno-fascism. My heart is with all those people living in places where they are suffering this, and where people have to fight back for their basic human rights.
Our family moved to the free state of Arizona decades ago, precisely because it had the strongest vaccine exemptions, and we are lifelong anti-vaxxers, but never realized then what a fortunate choice that would turn out to be - at least so far - versus life in the new /soon-to-be slave states.
