My thoughts on the existence vs non-existence of viruses are simple. The cure proves the cause. Note: "cases" not "diseases" are cured.

If a case of disease purported to be "caused by a virus" is cured by a medicine that "addresses the viral cause" then the cure proves the cause. It was caused by a virus.

If someone claims that a case of disease is NOT caused by a virus, they simply need to cure it without addressing the viral cause. If such an action is successful, then we can take the discussion to a next stages. eg. "Did the non-viral treatment actually address a viral cause of disease?" and, "Did the anti-viral treatment actually address a non-viral cause of disease?"

Until we find and recognize cured cases - all claims of cause are moot.

However, "modern medicine" refuses to acknowledge any CURED cases of any disease purported to be caused by a virus (outside of the strict bounds of a clinical study that pre-defines both the treatment being used and the cured status).

For example, we have over 675 million cases of COVID listed as "RECOVERED" - not a single case listed as "CURED" in worldwide statistics. It's not about the disease - it's the system. We have no recognized medical test for "COVID cured" - so no cases can be proven cured by anti-viral treatments, and no cases can be proven cured by non-antiviral treatments (whatever those might be).
