"79% and 87%" is (or is not) 79% and 87%, depending on whether we are talking about low-cost low-risk multibenefit nutrition vs high-profit higher-risk drugs
New England Journal of Medicine infomercial showing ~85% "effectiveness" for injections is praised, while real-world clinical experience showing ~85% life-saving proof using vitamin D is ignored
Vitamin D is superior to single-dosed vaccination and comparable to the double-dosed vaccination according to the analysis excerpted below; however, vitamin D is less expensive, safer, and more widely available with more collateral benefits, indicating that more people could receive more benefit for the same investment by using vitamin D.
In the “any vaccine” analysis, the vaccine effectiveness was 87% with the Alpha variant and 79% with the Delta variant.1
The data I posted last month from the high-level specialty journal Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism shows real-world effectiveness in the range of 79% for survival and up to 87% for reduced severity when using vitamin D.
Among 838 patients with severe hospitalized Cv19, administration of vitamin D (as semiactivated 25ohD) reduced ICU utilization from 21% to 4.5% (87% reduction = massive savings in healthcare utilization and expense) and reduced mortality from 15.9% to 4.7% (79% reduction in death). Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism 2021 Jun2
Additionally, a recent clinical trial published in Journal of Clinical Medicine3 (2021 May) showed that treatment with vitamin D3 10,000 IU daily for 14 days resulted in a reduction in Cv19 symptoms (see my review). So by any reasonable definition of clinical effectiveness—reduction in mortality, reduction in severity, elimination of symptoms, elimination of virus positivity—vitamin D is clearly effective; in contrast, much of the presumed “effectiveness” of injections is based simply on induction of antibody production, which has never shown major relevance against viral infections.4
Apparently 79% and 87% are high numbers indicative of excellent effectiveness when talking about a vaccine, but these numbers are irrelevant when talking about vitamin D which is safer and less expensive, indicating that more people can be treated for the same investment (plus the fact that vitamin D does not require refrigeration nor high-profit patent protection)
Very interesting how both studies ended up with the exact same numbers: 79% and 87%. Apparently 79% and 87% are high numbers indicative of excellent effectiveness when talking about a vaccine but these numbers are irrelevant when talking about vitamin D, even if the same ~85% of lives can be saved for less money—which indicates that more people could be protected because the cost-per-intervention is lower. Further, vitamin D provides numerous collateral benefits which are not noted with drugs.5
As I have reviewed previously in articles and videos6, Vitamin D safely and inexpensively provides numerous benefits:
Vitamin D alleviates chronic pain (VIDEO)
Vitamin D alleviates anxiety and depression
Vitamin D supports barrier defenses against infection (VIDEO)
Vitamin D is available inexpensively, internationally, without complex logistical concerns such as with drugs requiring subfreezing temperatures
Vitamin D is safe when prescribed/supplemented in reasonable physiologic doses of roughly 2,000-10,000 IU per day
Vitamin D provides effective prevention (risk reduction) and treatment for a wide range of health problems (PUBLISHED ARTICLES)
